"I was looking for someone to paint my kitchen cabinets that were the original ones from forty three years ago. I was contacted by several individuals and companies to give me an estimate. It took some of them several days to get back to me and when they did, the estimates were usually higher than what I wanted to spend. He was able to patch two large holes that needed fixing. After the paint was applied and dried, you could not see where the wall damage had been in my master bedroom. "I barely know where to begin with my praise for Chris' completion of a large project at my house! I've had many negative and mediocre painting experiences so they have provided a solid basis for comparison, and I, frankly, have nothing but positive comments about Chris and his work.
I received his name from an acquaintance whom I know to be particular about work done at her own home. From the onset Chris returned my phone call promptly and arranged a meeting to assess the job at my convenience. He arrived on schedule and conducted a detailed inspection. In fact, he advised that I find someone else to clean walls and ceilings that had been soiled by a faulty furnace rather than my paying his fees as a professional to accomplish the task. I always appreciate someone's attempt to save me expense while not sacrificing quality! Shortly thereafter, I received an email with an attachment stating the price and a detailed description of the services to be conducted, including the brand and types of paints that would be used.
We subsequently agreed upon dates for his work after he explained that it would require 4-5 days for him to complete the job. He candidly admitted at the onset that his calendar was booked solidly and that he would not be available until mid-August. He willingly accommodated my preference for start times although I know that his preference would have been earlier than mine. Again, he arrived on a timely basis each day.
Chris' painting skills are flawless, and he strives for perfection despite everyone's knowing that our homes have not been constructed perfectly. My house especially required a lot of detailed work because of many doors, windows and the fireplace. I've had almost 24 hours of living with his results and have not a single complaint. And this is before blinds have been reinstalled after having been professionally cleaned. In short, there is no protection for the daylight exposing his work. It is truly flawless, and I consider myself to be highly critical.
Beyond the quality of Chris' work are so many intangibles as well. He is well spoken and displays many positive ethics. He kept his materials out of my way and left the house in a very livable state each day. Moreover, when he completed the job, he restored everything to its original condition (i.e., furniture and wall hangings at original placement, electric and switch plates replaced, etc.). I've never expected such a disrupting event to be almost pleasant while it was in progress or to experience such satisfaction afterwards. "I hired Chris to bail me out on the fence that I started to stain way back in July. By bail me out I mean that there was no way i could stain both the inside and outside before it got cold with my busy schedule. Chris agreed to paint the outside for a reasonable price and I'm beyond relieved that I asked him to do it. He did an outstanding job considering the pain in the butt job it was. It is a 4,000 square foot shadow box so there was a ton of back brushing to be done after spraying. Chris started the outside of the fence and came everyday barring weather until it was done.
